Where can I find good C/C++/other compiler?

Recommended Posts

By good I mean, that it would *not* be using Microsoft .Net framework, will be easy to use, will provide all basic libraries, tutorials/help, code completion and will compile quite fast.

The reason is that I cannot find anything matching these cryteria, because in MVS I can only create projects under .NET framework, that limits my programs/games to Windows apps only, and all other are uncomfortable to use... Oh, and it would be good, if it will have versions for Linux, MacOS, and probally other systems.

I'm pretty sure Rick locked a post like this not too long ago, though I can't find it now. Regardless, remember that this is the Paint.NET forum, not a programming support place. I would start searching elsewhere, or ask in the Offtopic.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
