Click here to view or download it A way to make some fancy drops! __________________________________________ About this tutorial: I was (again) playing with some plugins when it starts to "rain" some fancy drops and droplets... To obtain big drop you should use a large canvas size (ie: 4000x3000) This method requires CPU usage! For this tut I will use 800x600 so I could post some "work in progress" and screen shots. A rectangular image will give 2 drops. A square image will give 4 drops. __________________________________________ Required plugins: Inside-out (Ed Harvey) : https://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18811-ed-harvey-effects-v-35-2012-02-13/ Shape3D (MKT) : https://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/18968-shape3d-2007-08-24/ ScriptLab (Pyrochild) : https://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/6091-scriptlab/ __________________________________________ Let's start with a white image: 01. Create a new rectangular image (big size is better). For this tutorial I'm using 800x600 px. 02. :plugin: Start directly with the Shape 3D (Menu effects/renders) and create a sphere. - 1.Set the scaling to 1.35. - 2.Set the texture to full map. - 3.Set the light position x:0 y:0.50 z:1. - 4.Set the anti aliasing ON, level 1. 03. :PolarInversion: Then Menu Effects/Distort and apply a polar inversion (all at default). 04. :Plugin: Menu Effects/Distort and run Inside-out effect. No parameter here! 05. Select the drop you need in a rectangle and crop the image. bottom drop top drop flipped down __________________________________________ Let's make it more difficult: 06. Create a new rectangular image. 07. Menu Effects/Advanced Open the script lab. 08. For each 3 steps 02-04 redo in the script lab with the same settings. - 1.Choose the effect in the list. - 2.Click to add the effect. - 3.Set the parameters (if needed). - 4.Save the script... (this is my scriptlab file: http://img9.xooimage.com/files/6/3/2/dr ... c781b4.sls ) 09. Add a new layer. Fill it with Cyan (#00FFFF). 10. Menu Effects/Advanced Open the script lab. You should have the last script used ready. - 1.Click on the list of effect in the right on the Shape3D select it. - 2.Click on modify. - 3.Change only the scaling and substract 0.07 - 4.Press Ok for the Shape3D form. - 5.Press Ok for the ScriptLab. 11. Redo 5 times the steps 09 & 10 - 1.Change the color for a darker blue (#0000FF, #0000BB, #000099, #000077, #000044) - 2.Change the scaling and substract 0.07 each time (1.21, 1.14, 1.07, 1.00, 0.93, 0.86) 12. Flatten the image. 13. Select the drop you need in a rectangle and crop the image. bottom drop top drop flipped down 14. Undo the step 13 to restore the image obtained step 12. 15. Redo the ScriptLab menu Effects/Advanced Open the script lab. - 1.Click on the list of effect in the right on the Shape3D select it. - 2.Click on modify. - 3.Change only the scaling back to 1.35. - 4.Press Ok for the Shape3D form. - 5.Press Ok for the ScriptLab. bottom drop top drop flipped down __________________________________________ Let's go ahead playing: - Try with a picture instead a unique color. - Try with the scaling in the shape3d with 2.0 and more... - Try with other setting (rotation, light position, light level, etc...) - Try to run then fill the background, then run again and again... __________________________________________ Your turn: And now let me see what you are able to do with this tut! Post your work here... 1 Quote My DeviantArt | My Pictorium | My Plugins | Donate via Paypal

Keep up the good work MadJ(y)k You could just find an I and copy and paste it. Great tut madjik. True that. Haha, I'm slow today, track practice was brutal. Yeah I ran out and got a different keyboard, I'll post my IMG tags with my results as soon as photobucket comes up. I must need to disable Windows Firewall Internet Protection, it's blocking photobucket and the exception's already placed. One minute. Quote Changed the text in the signature yay! PDN gallery!
