mindsetsathreat
I'm trying to cut the design pattern out from behind Marilyn Monroe so the background is just plain black. I tried to just paint over the white design but I always get a rough edge around Marilyn where the design came in behind her. Is it even possible to remove the design while keeping the edges of Marilyn smooth? I have very limited experience using paint.net or any other photo editing programs. I was hoping someone could explain to me how I would do this.. Sorry if another thread already covers how to do it or not. I looked and didn't see any. Maybe it is covered and I'm just not recognizing it.. I'm pretty sure it involves using the magic wand, but won't that only work if your trying to cut something out that has a significant color difference than what it's being cut out of? someone93
First, change your topic name to something more descriptive (rules) Back to your question. Alpha masking will give the best results. Here's the plugin: viewtopic.php?t=2178 Here's a tutorial for it: http://cmdsketchpad.com/tutorial.php?tutid=3 If you want it fast and simple (not the best results though), you can use the lasso tool.
