greatpainter
The “feather” effect is amazing, but not the same as in Photoshop. Will Paint.net ever have the ability to apply effects on a feathered basis? Then one could select with the magic wand; feather the selection (no change thus far); hide the selection edges and then change (e.g.) the brightness in a truly feathered manner. Obviously, I know nothing about programming. So please pardon my ignorance. Sincerely, Me
Benji2
Sounds possible, but when you select with the wand and effect a section it doesnt expand the selection, so if the effect goes outside it, you cant see it.
PyroTechniques
Paint.NET does not yet support soft selections. I believe that's planned for v4.x. Quote Photobucket Sucks!
Myrddin
I believe that's planned for v4.x.-Ish. It was discussed, yet no set time-frame or version was given. Quote How to Save Your Images under Different File Types My dA Gallery
