How do you create a fade?

Dido what Mike said

...unless what you want is to lower the transparency of the image by double-clicking (or clicking "Properties") on the image you want faded in the Layer window, then moving the transparency adjustment bar thing (hey, play with the Layer Blend modes while you're at it :))

Use a transparency gradient by selecting :GradientTool: as your tool then set the tool to :AlphaChannel:

Hope this helps!

THANK YOU!!!

I've been trying to do this since last night, and tried different blurs, and the transparancy tool in adjustments, but non of the things I tried were right. I never knew you could do that with :GradientTool:.

Again, thank you so much. Now I can get the graphic I was working on to look just how I wanted it to. :D :D
