redwes
How can you decrease the size of an image from #,### bytes to #,### bytes?
Ouchy_S
Saving as .JPG is always a good start. But as it is an avatar, you can get away with saving as .GIF. What are you trying to get it down to? Quote My deviantART | My Gallery
david.atwell
You'll have to just play around with the pixel size and quality of the format until you get it right. There's no definite way. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
Andrew D
If it's a .PNG, you could also use an optimiser like PNGauntlet, but as the size is so small anyways, it won't matter that much. Just save it is as .jpg, the quality loss is hardly noticeable if at 95-100%
Frozen_byte
Save it as PNG, open Irfan View load your saved PNG and re-save the Image. Irfan View has a godlike compression!
