New laptop creates fuzzy graphics

Recommended Posts

I've been using Paint.net on my PC for a couple of years for creating web site graphics. Lately I got a laptop and when I create Paint.net graphics and upload them to the server, they're always fuzzy--aliased I think is the term. Why is this happening only from the laptop?

Can you show us some examples? Of the fuzzy and the not-fuzzy ones, please.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Here's where I apologize for being such a moron. "Fuzziness" has so much to do with the .jpg quality setting sitting, for some unexplained reason, at 55% instead of the default 95%.

Thanks for such quick replies, guys. Man, do I feel stupid.

That is inexplicable. :-) For the best quality graphics, though, you'll want to use the PNG file format.

Anyway, glad you figured it out!
