Which tool would be Shear?

Recommended Posts

I am attempting this PS tutorial -

http://www.adobetutorialz.com/articles/ ... with-stars

But it uses a `Shear' tool in the program to get the curve of the coloured band. I was just wondering which one in PDN would do the same. I have tried sine waves without success and also the waves effect plug in. But neither will give the required effect.

BTW - I eventually managed to get the curve using Sine Waves but had to rotate the bar through 90 degrees first but it is still not exactly the same as the tut. It really needs a shear tool.

you might explore what the difference between a raster style program is as compared to vector. look up both definitions in wikipedia.

Photoshop is vector. Paint.net is bit map orientated

you've probably done it is one of the easiest methods using Paint.net.

there's probably other ways but I've not had a chance to try this tut out.
