Too much hiding

I`ve noticed that more and more people are using the hide function in posts. This is all very well when it is really needed , like if you wanted to post a crash log for example, but I find there is no need to use it for short tutorials. Some consist of no more than 4 steps but they are hidden! Why? It is very irritating to have to start clicking unnecessarily.

I do appreciate that this function comes in handy sometimes but I wish people would think before using it.

If you hate authors of Tutorials using them, tell them. But yes, hide tags for a 4 Step tutorial are eccentric.

The usage was something outlined by David in the introductory topic. The mentioned tutorials that utilise the [Hide] tags are indeed teetering on the unnecessary but is not drastically crossing anything.

The tags are something that should be used sparingly and will clearly now be kept in check as and when they're used. We don't wish for another debacle like the original

tags.

The tags are designed for composure, not aggravation.

Yeah,when it involves more clicking to read the tutorial than to actually create the design itself,its a bit much lol

Maybe you`re right . Hopefully in future it won`t be necessary though.

I only used them to separate the steps, but as it has become such a deal; I will not.

And that is the problem - the inconvenience of having to click again and again to see each step when it is so much easier, and would be less work, to just post the tut normally.
