evelyn-freya Posted November 22 Posted November 22 (edited) Hi guys, White colour plain background have been incredibly helpful in identifying potential display issues. I used white screen to test my monitor after encountering problems with Paint.NET, and the screen performed perfectly during the test. This just started today. I use Paint.NET nearly every day for work and purchased a licensed copy through Microsoft. When I opened it today, it displayed an unresponsive screen. I can not close the program without using the Task Manager. While I can close the task trays, I cannot reopen them, and nothing else inside the window is clickable. I restarted my PC, but the screen problem persisted. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program, assuming the fresh install would solve the issue, but it did not work. I suspect this might be related to the 5.1 update. Unfortunately, I can not verify which version I’m on, but I assume it’s 5.1 with the reinstall. What else should I try to fix this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! https://whitescreen.vip/ Edited November 23 by evelyn-freya Quote
Tactilis Posted November 22 Posted November 22 You are probably using Sentinel One antivirus, which is breaking Paint.NET. See this thread: You, or your work IT people, need to add an exclusion for Paint.NET as described in that thread. And then update Sentinel One when they have fixed their problem. Quote
