Request: Color profile name in the status bar

Like character encoding in a text editor.
If clicking it pops up color profile dialog, that's even better.

That's a nice idea but for smaller screens, there is barely enough space for the existing status bar contents.

 

This is on a 1600 x 1200 screen:

 

The status text font size shrinks if there is not enough room but then it becomes unreadable.

Ha, wasn't aware some of the descriptions being that long.

Current layout has no room in the title bar, so ether status bar or tool bar. But right of the tool bar is a weird place to put something.

What is the reason that you want/need to be able to see the color profile all the time?

 

Alt+I C  quickly shows it, followed by Esc to dismiss the dialog.

Yeah the reason for a request like this is very important. There would need to be a pretty important reason and a strong case made for something that would take up valuable screen real estate for all users.

It's not essential, just for convenience.

P3 getting popular because of the smartphones but color management is still not popular, so it's good to know which image using what.
Image size is also configurable but not dynamic. Color profile is something like that for me.

Non sRGB means others (or you, if CM is not active) may not see the image properly, so I think that's something you should be aware of.
When imported an image, better to check it in one way or another.
