littlebigman Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Hello, For some unknown reason, CTRL+L sometimes stops working to merge layers. I either have to click multiple times on the "Merge Layer Down" button in the Layers bar or hit Layers > Merge Layers Down in the menu. Restarting Paint.net or even Windows doesn't solve it. Any idea what is causing that? Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19045.5131] Paint.net 5.100.9082.35298 Thank you. Quote

Ctrl+L is Adjustments > Levels Ctrl+M is Layers > Merge Layer Down See the shortcut which is listed in the menu and on the tooltip on the Merge Layer Down button in the Layers window. If you want to merge all layers down, then you can use Ctrl+F for Image > Flatten Quote
littlebigman Posted November 20 Author Posted November 20 (edited) Sorry, I did mean CTRL+M (for Merge). Grrr… But… CTRL+SHIFT+F is indeed easier since it flattens all layers down in one go. Thanks for the tip. Edited November 20 by littlebigman Quote
Tactilis Posted November 20 Posted November 20 It's possible (likely perhaps) that you have another app that has allocated the Ctrl+M key combination on a system-wide basis for another purpose. We've seen this with graphics control apps stealing Ctrl+Shift+X. Quote

It's okay to name and shame 😂 AMD in this case. 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
