5.1 continually getting a 1603 fatal install error

5.1  continually getting a 1603 fatal install error .    I have tried restarting,  deleting,  restoring to  a restore point.   5.1 will not install.   Previous version was fine.    I have tried the offline install as well as the online

I have also tried with the antivirus and malware programs disabled.  Still getting fatal install error

1603 indicates you have a previous installation that has become broken and can't be uninstalled as part of the update.

Use this utility to fully remove your previous Paint.NET installation:

Afterwards, you should be able to do a fresh install of 5.1

Tried the tool,  but Paint.net is not found and there is not a product code listed in the registry for paint.net so tool is a no go

I even tried deleting all entries in the registry associated with paint.net.    Still get failure to install 1603 error

Don't do this! Messing with the Registry is not something you should 'have a go' at.

Try running Revo Uninstaller (free download). It has a better strike rate when dealing with stubborn installations.

Tried Revo Uninstaller,  even upgraded to the pro version  also tried having Revo Uninstaller monitor the install.  Still at same 1603 fatal error.

I am now using the portable version, which is working for me.  Would really like to get the install working.   Paint.net is a great tool that I use all the time.   Really do appreciate the effort that goes into paint.net.
