JimVZ Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Everytime I try to install Paint.net from the downloads at Github, the installation process tells me that I need a CD rom. I'm on Windows 11. The install program keeps looking for the msi file. I'm trying to install Paint.Net 5.1 Thanks for any assistance. Quote
Tactilis Posted November 17 Posted November 17 The problem is during the uninstallation the existing version because it can't find the original .msi. Use this utility to fully remove your previous Paint.NET installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed Afterwards, you should be able to do a fresh install of 5.1 Quote
JimVZ Posted November 17 Author Posted November 17 @Tactilis I ran that program and it found no sign of Paint.net Quote

Rick Brewster Posted November 17 Posted November 17 If it just won't install, you can always use the portable version. https://github.com/paintdotnet/release/releases/latest Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

You'll need to copy them to the new installation folder. Quote
