Romee Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Hello, I have been a loyal Pdn user since I've downloaded it. However, I recently have had issues opening the application. I recently had my Windows Software updated to 22H2, the latest and last version made for Windows 10. I tried opening the application, yet I got an error saying that I need Windows 11 or 21H2, or any newer software. If this can be fixed, I would heavily appreciate it as paint.net has been my main source of creation for about 1 or 2 years. Quote
Rick Brewster Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Are you sure you're actually using Windows 10 22H2? If you open up the System settings (right click on Start button -> System), what does it say? Rick Brewster Posted November 14 Posted November 14 The other thing we've seen cause this if you are opening the app from a custom shell or other type of program. Usually an old one that hasn't been updated, and therefore Windows applies "version lying" to so that it doesn't get confused. This then flows to any apps that are launched from that program. Several years ago we saw several cases of this with an ancient version of WinZip.
