TheAncient
In SETTINGS / UPDATES, I have turned off (un-checked) the option "Also check for pre-release (beta) versions of paint.net" but I frequently keep getting pop-ups notifying me that a new beta version is available. I would appreciate if someone could verify that this check-box works correctly and does in fact quit sending notifications of beta versions when it is un-checked. Rick Brewster
Are you currently using a beta version? If so, you can't actually opt out of beta updates. Once you install the next stable release (5.1), you won't be offered a pre-release version unless you re-enable the checkbox. Tactilis
@TheAncient You can get off the beta and stop the by simply reinstalling 5.0.13, which is the current stable release. However, the release of 5.1 is just a couple of weeks away, so you could just wait it out.
