AetherMaster
I recently found a program that creates U3 applications. That is, they can be loaded by special flash drives. I tried creating Paint.NET as a U3 app, but I am having trouble, and I was wondering if somebody could help. Paint.NET will work if you copy it to a folder on your flash drive, am I correct? If so, why is it that U3 doesn't work? It's not like the program is folder-dependent, right? Well, hopefully someone is able to help. Thanks
Simon Brown
What is the error message? Have you tried this with any other .NET apps?
Rick Brewster
No idea. Paint.NET as a U3 app is not supported. AetherMaster
What is the error message? Have you tried this with any other .NET apps? There's no error. It just...doesn't load. Wait! that gave me an idea. I think I know the problem. I was testing it on my other computer, which I'll be willing to bet doesn't have .NET framework. I'll post back with an update. No idea. Paint.NET as a U3 app is not supported. It should be able to be made into a U3 app as long as it isn't folder-dependent. If I can get it working, I'll post the app. Edit: I can confirm that Paint.NET works as a U3 app so long as the computer you are using it on has the .NET framework installed. Anybody with a U3 flash drive can get Paint.NET U3 here
LJXD
I run Paint.NET off of my USB flash disk at school all the time. It crashes sometimes but thats only on the really bloody potato computers. PyroTechniques
Any possibility you could make the .NET framework into a U3 app as well, so that you don't need .NET to be previously installed before running PdN? Just wondering. Quote Photobucket Sucks!
