Removing the white background from copy/paste item

Recommended Posts

Hi, new user here.

I have copied a jpg photo (print screen) onto the paint canvas. I'd like to cut the face from the photo and paste it onto a ppt. slide.

I use the lasso key and trace around the face. I cut and paste the face onto the dark background of a ppt slide.

The problem is the white box around the image (face) is visible! How do I paste just the lasso'd item or remove the white box from the ppt slide?

Thanks!

Go to http://searchpaint.net and look for "cutting out images the easy way."

In the future, please use search before asking a question on this forum. :-) Thanks!

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
