mojopanel
This might sound like a daft question but does every one here use PDN to make there sigs, as some look like there made with PS with the effects and stuff? david.atwell
Most of us do. Whose are you thinking of? You'll have to ask them. :-) Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

survulus
All of mine are pure Paint.Net, wish I could afford Photoshop... and a guitar, but that's totally off-topic. Quote Check out all my newest stuff on my dA I iz bassist here
LFC4EVER
I use PDN for all of my sigs. I have PS, but its too complicated for me, i guess it takes time getting used to it. I prefer PDN though to make stuff as its just so much easier - if not quicker. Quote ☆★☆★Merry Christmas★☆★☆ .::.My Gallery.::.Make Gold Text!.::. jiZer
i have sig's made in Photoshop.. but 99% is Paint.NET, i like Paint.NET more then Photoshop (cs3) i think photoshop is a little bit overrated.. @LFC4EVER In my opinion is'nt photoshop any better then pdn.. maybe a little more complicated i think that many peoples on deviantart that makes awesome graphics could make the same in PDN if they want to.. but it is only me Quote Simplicity ftw! Pride
I use Photoshop. But Photoshop is in no way overrated at all nor is it no better than PDN. It is just the current market leader for image manipulation and an industry standard for those professional artists. Please, just don't try to bash the program. TopHATslash
Photoshop is really easy to understand, as is paint.net. I use both, but all the sigs you see here on this board are all PdN.
ShK_828
100% PdN - once you go Pdn, you can never go back
survulus
Photoshop is certainly not overrated, it has all the best bits from every other competitor it seems, but nevertheless, Paint.Net is better than some packages that ask for payment. It's an essential stepping stone for amateur graphic designers... like a lot of people here. Goonfella
Mine are all PDN as well. Photoshop is too pricey for me. Quote Please feel free to visit my Gallery on PDNFans And my Alternatives to PDN
Nicad
Completly PDN. I also have the GIMP and MS paint, but I never use them. EDIT: the GIMP has a horrible UI and MS paint is just about as useful as a bicycle for a fish. Quote This sentence is a lie.

It's an essential stepping stone for amateur graphic designers... like a lot of people here. Qft. Paint.net really got me into graphics back in summer '07. I then started writing tutorials for effects then got into sig making and so on. I had got photoshop to use for school, because it was required this semester. They provided it, thank goodness. I would have been so lost if I started graphics using photoshop. I still use paint.net, except for occasion I'll use photoshop to make a sig or something while I'm in class, but I don't post them here. Insanepeep
Paint.Net all the way - i wish i could afford photoshop too but hey PDN isn't bad atall =] also it'll just have to do as i can't afford photoshop =] Quote Be Happy Randomized Peeps =]
Noodlez
mine are made with pdn but if i had photoshop, i would probably never use paint.net. i just like ps a lot better. Quote My DeviantART |

Ouchy_S
Don't have the bandwidth at the moment to download Photoshop Although I wouldn't use it that much, PDN has taken my heart. And my liver. Quote My deviantART | My Gallery

Kemaru
Mostly PDN because I like the UI. It is true that there are things you can do in PS that you can't do in Paint.NET, but it is also true the other way around, most of the Distorts in PDN are unique. Boude
Tried photoshop, didn't understand it, even with a tut. Tried gimp, too complicated. Tried paint shop pro 9, liked it, but not enough effects, still use it sometimes. Tried Paint.NET, loved it, still like it, keeps things simple and if I'd switch, I would leave you guys.
