Does every one here use PDN to make their sigs

Most of us do. Whose are you thinking of? You'll have to ask them. :-)

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Photoshop is certainly not overrated, it has all the best bits from every other competitor it seems, but nevertheless, Paint.Net is better than some packages that ask for payment. It's an essential stepping stone for amateur graphic designers... like a lot of people here.

Qft. Paint.net really got me into graphics back in summer '07. I then started writing tutorials for effects then got into sig making and so on. I had got photoshop to use for school, because it was required this semester. They provided it, thank goodness. I would have been so lost if I started graphics using photoshop. I still use paint.net, except for occasion I'll use photoshop to make a sig or something while I'm in class, but I don't post them here.

Tried photoshop, didn't understand it, even with a tut.

Tried gimp, too complicated.

Tried paint shop pro 9, liked it, but not enough effects, still use it sometimes.

Tried Paint.NET, loved it, still like it, keeps things simple and if I'd switch, I would leave you guys.

History repeats itself, because nobody was paying attention the first time.
