How to create this lava texture?

Hello so I want to create this lava texture

 

I only want to make the dark orange and dark red parts, as I intend to draw the glowing bright yellow parts myself. So far I've tried to render clouds but the effect isn't quite what I'm looking for.

 

Any help here?

Have you done a search of the forum for  lava  ?

There are several tutorials and other posts where lava is mentioned. Have you tried them? Do they provide anything close to what you want?

I've seen this one but it's not quite what I'm looking for. I find the dark spots look a bit too like the original cloud render, and I don't want the bright yellow-orange spots.

 

I've searched a bit around but a lot of the posts are old and the picture links are broken, so I don't know if I'm doing it quite right.
