I agree with Storm.shadow. Like I said in my PM, gradient would probably look more realistic and you can manipulate it more. I can't really work with Shape3D, so that's what I use instead. (Can you give me the PDN file so I can work on it?)

No, you can keep it that bluish color, but by adding some highlights and more shadows, you'll achieve the metallic effect.

This image is probably the best that would fit yours. Try to follow the same type of shadows and highlights.
