Request : File Properties

Recommended Posts

I'd like to make a request for File Properties to be put into the File menu of Paint.Net

File dimensions.(width & height)

File size.

File type. (default to PDN)

Amount of Layers (if its a PDN).

Date.

If you don't mind me asking :D , I'd like to be be able to import into a new layer - but still keep the existing open graphic dimensions. So if I have a file open at say 640 X 100 and I bring a graphic to a layer that is 800 x 400, I'd like to be able to just move that into position and thats it. At the moment it opens the graphic to the bigger dimensions. Possibly have when you are selecting the graphic to import hat it has box with a tick that by default says "Expand to graphic size".

Well, the file properties might be a good idea, though most of that information is available on the status bar...

However, Paint.NET does ask whether you'd like to enlarge or leave the selection the same! When you hit Ctrl+V, it will ask.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
