Ego Eram Reputo
IMHO the cracks are really nice, but too uniform. I would adjust them so that they vary more in length or distance from the bullet hole, and perhaps, fewer of them so they don't surround the entire hole like a complete halo. So some of the cracks should be larger and extend further, and this means you probably need less of the smaller cracks. I would also vary the cracks so that the overall effect is not so circular = more irregular around the hole. BTW it's a really nice effect - I like it enormously :!: ebook: Mastering Paint.NET | resources: Plugin Index | Stereogram Tut | proud supporter of Codelab plugins: EER's Plugin Pack | Planetoid | StickMan | WhichSymbol+ | Dr Scott's Markup Renderer | CSV Filetype | dwarf horde plugins: Plugin Browser | ShapeMaker

KiLLEz7
i think the way im doing it isnt right it looks more like bullet proof glass as there is a closer shatter and with the bullet holes it looks a bit odd i dont think they should be there. i change it to this though: and then managed to get this out of it which i feel looks a lot better i dont know if you users want me to or not but i can make a tut on this if there isnt one already Welcome to the PDN forums i can't wait to see your gallery! ;o thank you ill have to make one sometime once i get round to finishing some stuff
jiZer
i like this one more, but it should maybe be better with less noise or what it is.. Simplicity ftw!
KiLLEz7
still think the last one is the best effect i does look like real shot glass (though it does feel a bit cartoony)
jiZer
i think that the second and the last one is best but i like the second more. But it is you that should choose not me. Simplicity ftw!
Ego Eram Reputo
I like the top and bottom ones. I would be especially impressed if the effect was exactly in between the two results! Mentioning glass types is a good point. Plate glass would shatter differently to safety glass, windscreens or ordinary glass.
