Cakie67 Plugins disappear from my Paint.Net effects & New ones Appear?????

Recommended Posts

Hey can any one help me with this problem? I love and use " Fragment Blur " Often. Now it vanished out of my effects? How I have no idea. Then today this afternoon a different " Fragment Control " was now in my Blur effects & I never downloaded it , shoot I cannot even find my Cherished  Fragment Blur"! to re download it!😡 I am now using  PDT.NET version 5.0.8. which I was using 2 or 3 ago version 5.0.3. I think Red ocher was right about the NortonLife lock could be the part of the problem. But how can effects that are downloaded disappear and strang news one appear that I have not downloaded or installed??

I am using Windows 10 Microsoft. This is so frustrating.

Also can someone give me the Plugin down load page? I cannot find it.

It should already be built in to paint.net :  https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/EffectsBlursMenu.html

There is also a Fragment Blur+ which is in G'Mic:

Pixey, you and Red ocher are the best. The Blurs you mentioned  are in my Paint.Net effects in Blur. the fragment blur is ok but I really Use the old version Fragment Blur its the best one in my opinion, and the older version  Point Blur ( I really hate the "New Point Blur". Thank you for the link & your help.

Where can I find that " Effect Plugin list" where is names the creator and the name of the Plug-in? I saved it but it must have gotten lost when I had my computer repaired. If you know what I am asking about and you have the link Would you mind getting that link yo me please? No hurry

Thanks .your a Peach🙂

Perhaps this is what you are looking for.  It's simply called Plugin index:

It looks different. I tried clicking on one to see if it would download but it would not. The Page was where you could look up individual plug ins and down load them  individually, also some of the creators  plugin paks and install apps would be listed there also. Thanks for looking for it. I cannot remember how I found it in the past

You have to click on the Title in this Index, then it takes you to the Author's page who made the Plugin:

1. open paint.net
2. click the tiny :HelpTopics: icon at the top right.
3. click 'Forum' - it brings you to the forum homepage ...and probably how you found the forum.
4. scroll down to where it says 'Plugins - Publishing ONLY' and look underneath for the words 'Plugin index', click on those words.
5. That brings you to the plugin index page... see @Pixey's screen shot above.
6. click in the box below where it says 'Search Options' and type in the name of the plugin you are looking for.
7. a list of plugins will appear - click on the title of the one you want and it should take you to the page where it can be downloaded.

@Cakie67 - I'm not trying to be patronising - just trying to be clear.😉

It's a good idea to 'bookmark' the plugin index in your browser, which will take you straight to step 5.

Good luck finding the plugins you are seeking.

Oookay.... but I have no idea what you mean by "It's just possible that you are thining of this browser" Is this a bad thing? Some kind of error I am doing? Am I in trouble with forum?🤔

As you were looking for Plugins, I thought you may find the Plugin Browser helpful - as well as the Plugin Index.  But if you don't know what it is, then you probably don't need it.  Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you :)
