-Expiration-
Nice work, but some of the edges need some AA. PrettyDarnNeat
Here's my attempt. Great tut, only minor difficulties figuring the "cresent selection" part, but this tut makes very god buttons and icons. And, the layer blend modes will give you many different looks to play around with. I just wish I knew the technical side of things to actually apply these as buttons or Icons. ETA: Opps! My bad. I changed it so as not to look like a dork.
david.atwell
Nice work! FYI - the program's name is Paint.NET, not PaintDot.NET. :-) Just thought I'd toss that in there. But it's very well done! Quote  The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Keep up the great work! i followed but in merging the layers some of the steps were not as they appeared when rendered but here it is You shouldn't merge layers until the very end, where you should use the Flatten command found under the Layers menu, not the Merge Down button on the Layers window. Newb
2. Add a new layer, name it "Base", and using the Ellipse tool on "Draw filled shape", draw a dark gray circle from (100,100) to (500,500) while holding shift.5. Add a new layer, name it Base Bevel. You should still have the circle selected. Using the Ellipse tool on "Draw shape outline" with a width of 15, draw a circle from (105,105) to (495,495) while holding shift. Where do I find the toolbar or whatever it is to change those? â–¼ Still not finding it.
-Expiration-
You can find these options at the top left corner of the PDN window.
