HankP
On a number of tasks, I affirmatively WANT pixelation for a number of reasons not important here. Using the options on smoothing and aliasing, I can accomplish about 90% of what I want to accomplish. The problem arises when I need to spin/rotate a part of an image. Paint.net always smooths the result, leaving me with a part of the image that is not pixelated. Is there a way (that I've not found) to tell PDN to retain pixelation when rotating? I am not asking for a workaround. I've found some things that I can do to the selection to (sort of) get pixelation back. What I want to know is whether there is a way to just keep the pixelation WITHOUT having to do a workaround. Thanks.
Solution Rick Brewster Posted July 10, 2023 Solution Share Posted July 10, 2023 When you're using the Move Selected Pixels tool, set the sampling mode in the toolbar to Nearest Neighbor.
