Rebel28
I used this tut, and the software box one. to make these: Hitman:Contracts LOTR: BFME II Quote the Definition of "rebel" 1. take part in a rebellion; renounce a former allegiance 2. insurgent 3. maverick 4. break with established customs
Ash
Very nice, but remember to use AA. Use the Anti-Alias option in the Shape3D plugin.Put a check mark on it, Set to level 3 ~ 4 would be enough. This will make your "3d" object look much much better! Use this option for the last step as selecting it will make rendering much slower Quote All creations Ash + Paint.NET [ Googlepage | deviantArt | Club PDN | PDN Fan ]

david.atwell
There's a link in the first post. Quote  The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

Kat
Thanks Ash for this easy and effective tut! However, there is one step I either don't understand (language wise) or maybe just don't know how to do ... maybe a bit of both. Now on a new layer I have made 6 squares with different colors and the edges are not touching. With Transparency - Alpha at 128, and with text labled cut out. Could you please elaborate on this one a bit more? Green: What do you mean by this exactly - where do I set this? (In my try, I just set the whole layer to Transparency = 128, but I saw immediately that this can't be what you meant to say.) Red: How do I do that? (I just wrote the various lines on a new layer each, and in the end all merged them to the color layer, but I see the difference to your pic.) Otherwise, everything worked out quite easily. Oh and one more question. Does PDN have a feature by which I can enlarge or scale down a selected area? (I did it by hand, but my eyes are not THAT good, so it was a bit straining.) Thanks in advance for the explanations.

Thanks in advance for the explanations. Those steps was for the readers to see the 3d shape, not the learning part of this tut, but if you wanna learn... Either adjust the color's alpha before you draw the shape, or use the transparency plugin after you draw all the shapes. Since the cutout was not meant to be the tutorial, I just use Magic wand to select and delete. Yes, Select your shape/object, Use drag the 1 of the nubs on the corner and hold the shift key while draging. Is that what you mean?
