Hotkey Ctrl+Alt+V does not work

Hotkey Ctrl+Alt+V does not work. No new image created. From menu it works fine.

It does work, I use it every day.

 

Your keyboard is probably failing and needs to be replaced. I'm not even joking, I'm not trying to be condescending, that's literally always the problem when someone reports something like this.

In older versions it was working. I used it very often.

In newer versions it does not.

We've also had at least one case where someone had another program that was intercepting the shortcut key and doing something else (or nothing) with it

 

Ctrl+Alt+V does definitely 100% absolutely positively work though. Like I said, I use it every day

Try On-Screen Keyboard (press Win key > type "onscr", it will show up first in the menu list) and while paint.net is opened click on CTRL, ALT, V.

Are there any other shortcuts not working? Any other key combos related to the clipboard that wont work?

CTRL + Shift + C

CTRL + Shift + V

A  couple of things to try:

 

1.  Change the batteries in your keyboard?

2.  Try another keyboard.

3.  Try on another computer.

I've had this issue once on an older version of Paint.net; I solved it by being on a different computer. I think it might be my laptop that does that? I don't use it much though. In the meantime, Ctrl+N and Ctrl+V

Edit: oh I remember what it was. It was key interception, and it was by John's Background Switcher. It has a shortcut for Ctrl+Alt+V.

1) There are no batteries in my keyboard.

2) This was the first thing I tried.

3) This was the second.

 

Please, do not post "dummy" solutions.

I think some program intercepts it in my case too. But I don't know how to find it.
