rat_
Hello! A plugin I rely on for rapid emoji shipment is the "feather selection" plugin with the option to ignore canvas edges. Since updating PDN, I can't seem to find this option anywhere and I'm not sure if I'm looking in the wrong place (Object > ...; Selection > ...). I'm fearful I will have to find and use an older version of PDN for this step in my workflow. Thanks so much for your time!
Pixey
You can find the old Plugin here: Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. rat_
Thank you so much for the link! Unfortunately, the old feather selection doesn't seem to work with the current PDN version; do I need to downgrade? EDIT: Alternatively, would it be possible for me to add the old behavior to the plugin? I am a C# dev and could try, but I'm not up to speed on PDN's dev ecosystem. Are you sure you have your image on a transparent background? 6 minutes ago, rat_ said: I am a C# dev and could try, but I'm not up to speed on PDN's dev ecosystem. I'm not sure @BoltBait would like that. Solution Rick Brewster Posted June 12, 2023 Solution Share Posted June 12, 2023 I wonder if you could work around this by expanding the canvas width and height by 2px (using Image->Canvas Size and the center anchor), and then. the inverse when you’re done with the plug-in? It’s cumbersome but would at least allow you to avoid using an older version of the app, and give @BoltBait time to look into this 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

Are you sure you have your image on a transparent background? Yep, the background is transparent! I believe it's just the old version that does not work, and the old version that I need in this circumstance. I would of course never alter software against its license or the permission of the owner, though I did want to ask just in case. 5 hours ago, Rick Brewster said: I wonder if you could work around this by expanding the canvas width and height by 2px (using Image->Canvas Size and the center anchor), and then. the inverse when you’re done with the plug-in? Great solution, though definitely more of a process than the original plugin, not that I mind here. I appreciate the time; hope to see the ignore canvas edge checkbox return someday. 🙏
Rick Brewster
@BoltBait, if inflating the input by 1px on all sides is all it takes to implement the "Ignore canvas edges" checkbox, I can help you figure out how to implement that.
