HankP
Seems like a simple question, but I searched the forum and did not find the answer. Is there a simple way (key macro type thing) to toggle between sampling in the whole Image versus within the active Layer? Thx ps. While I am asking "toggle" questions, is there a quick way to toggle between the B/W Primary/Secondary colors and custom colors that you have selected? It would be handy to have PDN store the most-recent set ofcustom colors and to toggle quickly between them and the B/W. Solution Rick Brewster Posted May 24 Solution Share Posted May 24 You can hold Ctrl to force sampling the whole layer. Says so right in the status bar: Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

Searching the Documentation (https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/ or click the paint.net '?' icon top right) is the best thing to do when looking for an answer. That works great for the color picker tool, but "sampling" is used with other tools as well. The "Fill Bucket" for example. The Control option does nothing there.
