Preventing Confusion On the getpaint.net and paint.net Domains

I often bring up the topic of Paint.NET on multiple sites (such as DeviantArt. I totally understand if you hate that site), and often it would force a clickable link towards any text with any text containing .com, .net, .org, et cetera. The YouTube comment section also does this.

Currently, the domain leads to an unregistered domain on GoDaddy, so if anyone were to click on it, they would be redirected to that unregistered site instead, which might cause confusion for some people.

I just wanted to know; could it be possible for Rick to register the domain to make it a landing page that redirects to the actual getpaint.net domain? I figured that it’ll be much easier to redirect users that way other than telling them that Paint.NET is just the name of the software, and you have to visit getpaint.net to install Paint.NET.

In similar fashion to how typing in homestarrunner.net would redirect to the actual homestarrunner.com website. That was the only example I could think of.

The domain is already registered by a large paint company. They unwilling to sell the registration for a reasonable price.

I actually haven’t even noticed that. For whatever reason, it appears to be unregistered, which may be a glitch on my end.

Thanks for the clarification.
