Pax
I'm trying to install the program and I get an error message: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc00000007b). Click OK to close the application." This computer has never had paint.net installed. Windows 11 Pro (22H2) i7-12700 x64, 16GB ram. I've tried downloading it again, running it as admin, trying that Microsoft Troubleshooter program [ ] Does anyone have any ideas? Solution Pax Posted May 2, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted May 2, 2023 Ok, it must have been an issue with the internet connection, proxies and all that. I ended up fixing it by just installing the x64 installer from the github [ Paint GIT Releases ] instead of the "anycpu" installer. It seems like the anycpu installer should give a better error message, but oh well.
JimboJaggins
Thanks @Pax! I had the same issue, and downloading the x64 installer worked for me too :)
