JAA
Is this possible? I have 2 layers. One is a Picture. One is a Greyscale. The Greyscale represents what alpha value I want on the Picture Layer. Ie 255/255/255 on the greyscale represents a 255 alpha on the picture, where the picture retains the same RGB value. A 0/0/0 on the Greyscale represents a totally see through pixel on the picture. The other varying levels of grey indicate the other possible alpha values. Is there there a way I can merge the two layers so the greyscale alters the alpha on the picture layer? Solution JAA Posted April 2 Author Solution Share Posted April 2 Sorry. Found it. It is Effects|Object|Paste Alpha by BoltBait
BoltBait
That's kinda old. If you're using the latest Paint.NET (v5+), reinstall my plugin pack and you'll have: Effects > Object > Apply Mask And, to create a mask from a normal layer, use Effects > Object > Switch Alpha to Gray... 1 Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game
