How do I change background color of a highly pixelated object?

Recommended Posts

So i wanted to change the background color of an image but I came across this section that seems impossible to change.

(might be hard to see but there's an obvious white background that doesnt fit in the black background I am trying to make)
I would appreciate any help, thanks!

I copied the image from your post above and pasted it into paint.net.

Although in your post, the image appears to have two white areas, these are in fact transparent, as indicated by the checkerboard pattern.

Are these the "obvious white background" that you are referring to?

If you want to fill them, then just select them with the Magic Wand tool, then use the Paint Bucket tool.

It's not 100% clear what you are trying to achieve. Please could you explain.

It could be because your first layer, when paint.net opens, needs to be unchecked so you can see the transparency.

If those are the areas to be filled, it's even simpler than using the Magic Wand. Just add a layer below, put into it whatever you want in those regions, then Merge the layers. The areas are transparent, after all.
