Installing plugins - Paid for version

Hi,

I installed the free version in early November 2020 then I paid Microsoft on 22nd November 2020. I DONT have the normal Program file folder where paint.net would normally be located.

I have searched the registry using regedit and have only found a folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\dotPDNLLC.paint.net_5.2.8451.0_x64__h55e3w7q8jbva I can not put plugins as they state Paint.net is not installed because it is in this folder. How can I install plugins to this folder as plugins are looking for the normal folder.

 

This could be the issue some other people have discussed before about not being able to find the folder.

Hi,

Instructions are no good to me as I cant gain access to the folder because of permission issues, the system will not let me change permissions so as per instructions I cant create folders.

I think you'd better read the instructions again. It sounds like you're trying to create the folders in the wrong location.

I recommend starting with a plugin pack that comes with an installer. It will create the proper directories for you.
