My attempt was a fail

Hmm..... looks like you either didn't get rid of your 'sketch' layer or never used line/curve to make the final ones... That's probably where it went wrong.

Absolutely love this effect, and so easy to do (i am still clueless about PdN) Only thing i can't figure out is how to keep the colour in the glow. I wanna put a halo on a picture of my gf for a bit of fun. Played around with the ellipse tool but it looks daft in glowing white, i want it in yellow :)

i can't do the curve part the other members their curves is great

First of all, check that you are using the line tool for the curve and not your sketch

Second, try drawing the entire set of curves as one, connecting several curves end to end in a way that makes it all look like one curve (no corners). When you are done with that, erase the parts that will be behind your object.

omgbubblerevolution.cry.png so whenever i try to merge down layers i cant get my color. the line stays white, i followed the steps excactly, even redid it. what am i doing wrong, i can never get my original color to show up, please helpbubblerevolution.sadtard.png

Anyone got a copy of this tut with the images? They seem to have died :(
