strangefancypants Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 (edited) how can I redraw the terrain of Britain in a quick manner? I'm particularly confused on drawing the mountains, and the blending of the terrains. Edited February 15, 2023 by strangefancypants Quote
Pixey Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Hello @strangefancypants and welcome You could 'select' the shape of England and then apply the Planetoid Plugin and play with the settings. I recently made a map and found these brushes great for the mountains. strangefancypants Posted February 15, 2023 Author Posted February 15, 2023 Hi Pixey and thanks for the reply The planetoid plugin doesn't achieve the look I'm going for, is there any other way? Quote
Pixey Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Actually, there is a tutorial that you may want to peruse: Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon.
strangefancypants Posted February 15, 2023 Author Posted February 15, 2023 I'm specifically looking for how I can copy the exact terrain of this England onto my England. However because of map projection distortion it overlays like this. I want their exact terrain to fit my shape basically. Is this possible in Paint.net? Quote
Solution Red ochre Posted February 16, 2023 Solution Posted February 16, 2023 20 hours ago, strangefancypants said: I'm specifically looking for how I can copy the exact terrain of this England onto my England. @strangefancypants You want to fit the green terrain over the white map? Personally I would... 1. Install Gridwarp. 2. Copy the white map to the clipboard. 3. Change to the green terrain layer. 4. Right click and select 'from clipboard' as the background option. 5. Stretch the control points as best you can to cover the white map outline. Good luck, I really can't see a better (simple) way to do this within Pdn - but interested to see other suggestions. 1 Quote Red ochre Plugin pack..............
