I've got a series of photos, some with as many as 23 people featured. I want to be able to make a way to list the people and identify where they are in the photo. I have seen a method which involves creating a new layer for each and every person in the photo - somewhat tedious. I'm sure there must be a better way to do this.

I'm thinking that I should be able to create one extra layer and in it, draw around the outlines of those featured. Then add some text for their names and print the resulting "outlines and names" layer. I'll be damned if I can work out how to do it though. I've even bought a drawing tablet specifically to facilitate this.
