Raenstoirm Posted October 8, 2008 Posted October 8, 2008 How do I manually apply color with this effect? The wand gets me most of what I want, but it skips a few leaves in a bouquet I am coloring. How can I get it to "mirror" the page underneath to get the color it has? The paintbrush only seems to be able to get my solid colors or inkblot of solid colors. Quote

Insomnia Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 what i do is duplicate the layer, make one black and white, and erase everything but what you want with color from the colored layer. Quote
Iwonder_who Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Sometimes you get surprisingly great detail in parts of the image.... I love the way the sparks light up in this attempt! Quote

MortalShadows Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Thanks for the tutorial. I was trying to make the following pic black and white other than the flower pointed by the arrow. But everytime I try to select the areas with the magic wand, either areas from adjacent flower also gets selected or not all the area of the flower (of interest) is selected. Please tell me how do I select only the flower I want. I guess the broad question is how do I select an object which I want to keep colored, from a pool of same color objects (which I want to make black and white). Thanks for your help. Quote

SarahDavis Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Thanks for putting together this tutorial. I had no idea how to do this in Paint, only in Picasa (and in Picasa you can only choose 1 item to stay colored) Thanks again! Sarah Quote
