Thanks for the easy to follow tut!

I just downloaded PDN yesterday, and this is my first attempt at anything.

The only thing I did differently was use the Shape3D plugin instead of the Bulge effect, and added a layer below my mud image that had earth like colours.

Here's my exploding earth:

I then added it to a moonscape and made a desktop background for my system:

The full size version of this is 1680x1050 and can be Found Here

Thanks again

Here's my first attempt, I created a sig with two planets...

And my second attempt... I played around first with some of the cool plugins I downloaded first... messed with layers' opacity, bevel, flames render, etc then I added one of these exploding planets... Here's the outcome...

This was/is a great tutorial and so much fun! It's also IMO one of the most fun to just scroll through and see all of the amazing results! Nice work everyone. Some of the "planets" didn't turn out to look like exploding planets, and the were still really amazing. :D

Hello,

this is a fantastic tutorial with highly varying results but I've got one suggestion:

Use the Zoom blur deluxe plug-in instead of the built in zoom bur

(just search Zoom blur deluxe in plug-in publishing only)
