Dr.Whiggamor 0
I'm new, I don't understand the duplicate layer thing. When I hit "Add New Layer" A layer is added but it's not the planet obviously, and when I hit "Duplicate Layer" nothing happens. Help?
david.atwell 290
I'm new, I don't understand the duplicate layer thing. When I hit "Add New Layer" A layer is added but it's not the planet obviously, and when I hit "Duplicate Layer" nothing happens. Help? When you hit "Duplicate Layer," it won't look like anything has happened, but it's just because the new layer is identical to the first. Keep an eye on the Layers window when you duplicate; you'll be able to see what happens. Once you have it duplicated, you can run the blending mode and you'll finally see a change. framauro13 0
My first post in the forums (although I've been a reader for a few months ), and my first creation with Paint.NET. I gotta say, this was a fun tutorial, and one of the first to really get my brain churning with creation ideas for Paint.NET. Thanks! This one I call "Explosion". It was intended to be an exploding star moments after a "shockwave" was produced. I added some colors to "prettify" it

framauro13 0
Very good work! Looks quite nice, my fellow Hoosier! ;-) Thanks, although I don't know if I could repeat it. Lots of tweaking, undoing and redoing and experimenting with layer blending modes. This one was definitely a good learning experience.

triskit 0
I thought this would go well with drew's tut (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=22615) The result is a pretty cool personalized wallpaper. I dont think that I would use it as my own, but I do think that a kid would really like it. If nothing else, it gives the exploding planet a cool space background that is really easy to make. thanks for the tut!
