am i too late? just learned about paint.net today from a friend as i was trying out new things i.e. editing photos for banners since we've got a few non-profit projects coming up that would need a lot of photo editing and i was tasked to do this. anyway, thanks for the downloadable version, i'll try to learn as much as i can. :)

clearwaterbeachbum,

This is not meant to be played like a standard video.

Open the .swf file in your player, but don't click the

Play button.

Instead, click on the word "Begin" on the screen.

Then you can click the various icons, menu items, etc

that show on the page displayed.

Hi, I just joined paint.net and I downloaded the Interactive Beginner's Guide. Now I need to find a standalone swf player to run the Guide on the desktop. What is best free software to make use of the Guide.

I use this one:

KMPlayer

I just tried KM Player ver 2.9.3.1214 that was a free download from CNET. Nice program. Here is the screen shot . It has af full range of files you can open using the drop down submenu located in the top left corner of the screen (KLM Player logo button) lists all the functions. Each function listed can be executed by click on the function listed.

I also downloaded Adobe Media Player and installed it. It opened and played the tutorial. It worked well. There is not much help documentation for Adobe Media Player. When you hit the Full Screen button on bottom right, it goes to full screen but puts a long menu bar in bottom part on what you are trying to view. If wait a few seconds the menu bar disappears. It is annoying because every time you move your mouse point to interact with the guide, this menu pops up. On the menu bar, the left button is for restart and the right button takes you out of the full screen mode. Here are screen shot of the guide using Ms Media Player(image copied by using my keyboard Ctl and Print Screen keys),then pasted it into Ms Photo Editor.

everyone is telling Wither how great his tutorial was. but  , as a new newbie have no idea how to even find it. Will someone, anyone. please post step by step how to find this and watch it? Also i need that in plain english slang, not "i already know all the terms of paint.net, hope you do to, so here goes..." language. And there is no sarcasm intended there, im being serious. Then soon as i watch this ill be asking what i originally was gonna ask...probably.  : )

Very impressive tutorial, thanks.

Its a shame other forums on other sites don't have the same level of service as this :trophy:

Please ditch photobucket so we can use this tutorial!

(I understand they are demanding money to let YOU display YOUR images.)

I doubt anyone will have anything to do with them after they see them trashing sites.  I wish them a speedy demise.

Thanks
