Simply amazing. If I was a noob, this would be my bible. I even learned some stuff, mostly about the layer blending modes. I never really understood them. And yeah, I agree with Topezia, it wouldn't hurt to get an update. Awesome work!

Wither, I'm new to Paint.net and struggling to learn.

I downloaded the Beginner's Guide, saved it to my desktop,

opened the zip folder, extracted all files, double-clicked on the HTML

file, got the begin page and right-clicked, on each of the options

shown at the lower portion and nothing happened.

Please help me. Maybe I need the .exe file. Thanks, Bob

sabrown 100, I did download Abode Flash Player v 9.0.124.0, deleted

the folders on my desktop and tried the download again. Went throught

the same process of unzipping and extracting all files, double-click on the

HTML file, got the Begin page , tried clicking on options on bottom to open,

but still no luck. I've gone through this process with many other programs

that I have downloaded and never had this problem.

I have DSL broadband speed...are the files to download very big and take

some time? Thanks for your help. Have a good day.

I tried your instruction, but finally got it by right click on

HTML file, clicked "Open with" and the suggestion was Internet Explorer...

so..worth a try and behold I got it !!! Thanks for your time and trouble.

Initial scanning through the guide looks like just what I need.

I'm a bit of a newbie to PDN myself, and I've been wondering what a lot of tools actually do. So this tutorial has become very useful to me. Great job and thanx 8)

I was able to download the zip file into a folder and unzip it into the three files.

When I click on the html document, there is an error msg stating it requires the AC_Run_Active Content_js file, which is in the folder with the html. Then the screen goes black (in IE)

I am running Vista 64 bit.

Could you make the .exe file available to me, bitte?

The tutorial sounds great, so thanks in advance!

It seems this tutorial is something like a "sandbox" to play in, experiment with and learn by trial and error. Open ended means no narrated tour, right? It is a great help, I am sure. But I need something more basic, showing the first steps. For example, I haven't figured out how to load an image from my hard drive into Paint.net or how to move circles that I have drawn. Any suggestions for such help?

Is it possible to manually push and drag shapes in Paint.net, like pulling out a nose for example? Is there a grid net for this? The "Effects/ Distort/ Twist" feature is great, but it only pulls out forms with a twist.

I have found the "Effects/ Distort/ Bulge", which enlarges or shrinks areas only on a big scale. I would also like to enlarge or shrink smaller details like eyes. Can it be done?

In one of the updates you write:

I just clicked the Download button for reasons even I don't fully understand only to realize that it doesn't actually allow you to download this tutorial...

You can download it by right-clicking on the button and selecting "save target as."
