david.atwell
Ladies and gentlemen, a new day has arrived! Please take a look at the new Tutorials+ Forum. It's a long-awaited new way of sorting tutorials! :-) === Well, the forum seems pretty dead, so here we go: The "Tutorials" forum is now read-only. Don't worry- something better is coming! :-) The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

david.atwell
Lookin' good David. I've long thought the tutorial forum needed some form of organization. Well, thanks! But the thanks should also extend out to Simon Brown, who helped me with the phpBB3 ACP; Mike Ryan, who got the ball rolling on the titles and functions of the subfora; Ash, who gave me feedback to help tweak the forum and wrote the tutorial guidelines that became the rules we have now; pyrochild, who approved of "Newbie Playground" and kinda sorta beta-tested for me; myrddin, who helped clarify the moderators' role in Tuts+; the user "sharp," who posted in GD&Q and got the discussion moving this time around; and, of course, Rick, who gave me admin status and the ability to even do this. :-) Mine might have been the hand pushing the buttons, but this was truly a community effort; besides, I'm counting on you guys to fill this thing up! Come on- let's get some world-class tutorials in this forum! (EDIT: I've added the "credits" to the Tutorial Forum Concerns thread's first post. These people need to be recognized longer than this thread will be staying up. :-)) Looking good. The way this forum has grown the last year; something like this was really needed. Thumps up.Thumps up? That sounds painful. Thanks anyway. :-) The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. xanderdetroit
Hi Jerkfight. I saw your signature and how you made a reflection. I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on how to make reflections like that. Thanks. Kat
Wow, I'm very pleased to find the new Tut+ forum ... I think that organizing this forum in several subfora was one of my early suggestions when I still was a newbie and had a hard time to find my way around. And now you guys did it!!! Wonderful, it'll make my life much easier from now on. (Though over the past weeks I had not much opportunity to get anything done in PDN, due to heavy workload, professionally.) Biiiiig thank you's to all of you who made this come true!
david.atwell
I've added some more tutorials to the new Tutorial Forum from the old Legacy Tutorials area. Take a look and see what you think! I'm locking this thread now; talk to us in the "tutorials forum concerns" thread, linked at the top of the new Tutorials+ forum. Thank you all for your praise!
