Koen
Hi there. I have four large pictures, roughly A3 size, that I'm trying to turn into a nice scan... but I only have an A4 scanner. As expected, efforts to join the separate scans inevitably causes trouble when trying to line up the quarters that should make a whole. Is there perhaps some kind of plugin or setting that might be helpful in this regard, or would I be better off just spending some money to get these pictures scanned professionally? To make matters more complicated, these pictures, which must be at least a hundred years old and I'm reluctant to cause damage to, have edges that are not 100% straight... so it's not really feasible to scan all quarters under the exact same angle. Tactilis
I use Hugin panorama photo stitcher for this type of task https://hugin.sourceforge.io/ There's a tutorial on stitching flat scanned images here https://hugin.sourceforge.io/tutorials/index.shtml There's a bit of a learning curve with Hugin, but IMO it's worth it.
