cosmarchy
I have an image which I am trying to put multiple copies of on an A4 sized canvas. The image size is: I copy this and paste on to a A4 sized canvas: and I am greeted with a dialog asking whether to expand the canvas or keep the image as it is huge compared to the canvas. So, how do I put multiple copies of a 8 x 5 image on a 29 x 21 canvas shrinking it enough but still being able to read the text? Thanks
MJW
Without knowing exactly what you want to do, I can't be certain, but perhaps Paste From Clipboard (with Tiled tiling mode) would help.

I want to take the low res image above, which is 8 x 5 and put multiple copies on an A4 canvas size. The reason I want to do this is because when I print the original out, I get an A4 sized copy when I needed a 1:1 scaled copy at the correct size of 8 x 5. Make sure the DPI matches between the two. Copy/paste operates on pixel sizes, not "physical" sizes, which is why the thing you're pasting is larger than you expect. You can adjust the DPI from Image->Resize by setting the "Resolution" property.
