BravoLima2k4
My hard drive recently was damaged and I'm trying to reinstall Paint.net but I get the below error message. I've deleted all paint.net files I can find on my computer but I still get it. If anyone else has had this problem and can help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
BoltBait
I don't recommend running the Paint.NET installer while it is still located inside of a zip file. Try unzipping that file to your desktop and execute it from there. Pixey
Please try this tool and then try to re-install. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed Afterwards, you should be able to install paint.net anew. BravoLima2k4
That didn't work it says select the program, but I've used the program 'everything' to remove all the files on my PC so it won't show up
Solution Pixey Posted May 14, 2022 Solution Share Posted May 14, 2022 Please try downloading from an offline installer: https://github.com/paintdotnet/release/releases 1 Quote How I made Jennifer & Halle in Paint.net My Gallery | My Deviant Art "Rescuing one animal may not change the world, but for that animal their world is changed forever!" anon. BravoLima2k4
That worked, thank you! By the way will the offline versions still get updates?

Rick Brewster
The offline installer gets updates, just like the "online" installer. They install the same thing, they just pull the "bits" from different locations. The portable package does not get updates. You're currently responsible for managing it in that case.
