Select and edit several Layers

Hi!  I am new here but have been using Paint.net for years!

 

How can I select several Layers and move the content simultaneously.

 

Here in the forum in other pusts I read, CTRL and select Layer but I cant even select several...

 

Please help!

Hello @Adam_Weißhaupt and welcome to the forum :)

 

No, you can't select several layers at the same time, to move them simultaneously.  They have to be flattened first.

Probably the best workaround is to first move one layer to its new position using the Paneling plugin.


Then use Ctrl F on each additional layer.


The plugin will automatically align the additional layers.

I really wonder why this isn't included - seems something very basic, and Photoshop has always had the "chain" feature.
