Paint.net Crashes w/ No Log Whenever Adjustments are Used

Well then there's clearly something in common with your two systems, likely some other software you've installed on both of them.

Someone else reported a similar crash, turns out it was due to ExplorerPatcher, so you should make sure you are not using something that patches the Windows UI like it does

Well I just updated it, and it took a lot more manipulation but eventually it still crashed

Okay but have you looked at the other software on your system? Someone else reported something very similar just the other day and has apparently solved it (although hasn't reported back what specifically the fix was ...)

Click on Start and search for "uninstall" and you should see "Add or remove programs"

I figured it out. It was blocked in my virus protection for some reason. Now I have to fix BoltBait's plugin pack because the DLL's arent showing in the effects folder. Sigh

Which anti-virus were you using? and what was it blocking specifically?

Just defender I believe. And the whole paint.net program itself, I don't have any anti-virus software other than Defender so it had to be that. That is what it was for me. Idk about this guy tho. Best of luck

Here a good place to start:

Boot into Windows Safe Mode, and see if the issue occurs. This will rule out any third-party software that might be interfering with Paint.NET.

Also, according to your last diagnostic post, you're still using old Intel GPU drivers. I would make sure it really gets updated. I had posted the driver link on the previous page.

I know I updated something and then asked if there was anything else I needed to keep updated that wasn't automatic
