How to remove objects from photos?

Recommended Posts

Occasionally photos contain some bad objects like cranes, power cables, litter, persons in background.....

As far as I know Paint.net can help to remove these objects in a smart way by replacing them by adjacent areas and colors.

I am thinking about something like to well know, great webservice

https://cleanup.pictures/

Unfortunately this WebService offers only smaller downloads of the modified photo.

So I want to try Paint.net for "repairing" a photo in its original size.

How does that work in detail?

Thank you

Peter

First of all, please use the clone stamp tool. Here is a tutorial.

You may also search the plugin for Paint.net called Content Aware Fill. It is the plugin that uses the adjacent background and colors to fill a selection you want to cover up.

You could also try the PS Plugin and Wire worm with PDN.

See this video first.

If the Clone Stamp tool doesn't do it for you, I'd recommend @null54's excellent plugin: Content Aware Fill
